  • Workshop Science meets policy, 11. and 12. June 2007

38 participants took part at a „PromSTAP“ meeting about risk management tools, control of control and how to perform centrally coordinated laboratory projects. The workshop concentrated on the exchange of experience and intensive co-operation in the field of food safety and quality, as an overall objective of the PromSTAP projects. Additional outcomes were interesting presentations, successful discussions and the fact tha science, authorities and industry met to discuss food safety management and practical views on different food safety management tools. The meeting was sponsored by the three projects SafeFood Guide, MicroBioSafe and Prom Control of control (NRW – Germany, Gelderland – Netherlands, Hovedstads – Denmark and Vidin - Bulgaria)



  • Thematic/Network Seminar, 31. May 2007

21 members of the PromSTAP community attended the Thematic Seminar where Individual and joint activities in the regions were presented, the website and the new Network web pages were introduced and a future perspective was given. The Network web page (http://www.promstap.com/network/) provides the possibility to get an overview of the different fields of activities within the PromSTAP programme and of the persons involved in these fields. If you have a specific thematic question you can easily find whom to contact about this question. Both organisational information and personal contact data are exposed on the PromSTAP network pages. A call upon all PromSTAP partners has been sent out to collect all required information.


  • Component 2&4 Workshop, 31. May 2007

    15 Participants discussed the new results and expected outputs of the component 2 & 4 sub-projects. The establishment of new public-private-partnerships to facilitate the implementation of new approaches, and to facilitate, develop & improve the exchange between partners were discussed.

    The workshop has been closed with a general discussion about the “technical reports” and the “training activities”.

  • Component 3 Workshop, 18. and 19. April 2007

18-19 April 2007, Annemasse, Rhône-Alpes, France. There are expected Outputs of 5 sub projects. A technical report will be prepared of each sub project, 3 new approaches have been developed that support the implementation of innovations in Small and Medium Enterprises and 3 workshops are planned. The results have been evaluated by different indicators, for example Percentage of positive feedback from SMEs regarding the innovations developed in sub-projects (75%); Number of contacts established between SMEs and research organisations or Improved co-operation among research organisation and SMEs.
