- Component 2, 3 and 4 Workshops /18. October 2006 / Genoa Approximately 30 participants gathered at three interregional workshops. The sub themes of the components were discussed and the progress and also problems
- Steering Committee / Monitoring Board 19. October 2006 / Genoa The steering Committee was visited by 15 people. M. Hamer presented the state of PromSTAP, followed by discussion and voting about submitted sub-projects. Furthermore activities of Component 5 and other activities (e.g. annual meeting) have been presented and discussed.
- Component 5 workshop / 13. October 2006 / Wageningen The last preparations of the Annual Congress were made and the draft for the PromSTAP Network was discussed.
- Annual Congress 19.-20. October 2006: 60 Participants joint the Annual Congress in Genoa. The project partners had time to present their results and to discuss them with the whole PromSTAP community. All results will be published in the Conference Proceedings in the beginning of 2007.

- Component 4 / 23.-24. May 2006 / Denmark Joint workshop between subproject SafeFoodGuide and MicrobioSafe. Thematic background: Microbiological food safety management systems – risk management tools and centrally coordinated data collection.
- First training activity / 29. November 2006 / University of Bonn: HACCP training course in order to learn how to implement the new EU hygiene rules and thus to improve food quality standards. More than 500 participants, working in SMEs like restaurants, snack bars, canteen kitchens etc.
