Building a PromSTAP Network
- Outcomes of the Thematic Workshop 31 May 2006 in Ede (NL) on website use and new possibilities to stress distinctive features and results of the PromSTAP programme.
- Presentation of first ideas for an online PromSTAP Network during the first PromSTAP Congress 19-20 October 2006 in Genoa (I).
- Exchange of experiences from subprojects and new cooperation initiatives were the main outcomes of two North-Rhine Westphalia regional meetings 22 May and 19 September 2006 in Bonn (D) and the second Gelderland regional meeting 29 September 2006 in Wageningen (NL).
Next to the foreseen PromSTAP subproject outputs, the establishment of a sustainable network in the field of food safety and food quality is an important aim of the PromSTAP programme. This network will provide for a “collective memory” for programme partners. And it will enable access to the programme’s knowledge and experiences for stakeholders in the field of food safety and quality.
Next steps:
- We will continue disseminating information about subprojects and outputs on the PromSTAP website and by brochures and fact sheets. Inform us when you have requests or suggestions.
- Next meetings of PromSTAP subproject participants in Gelderland and North-Rhine Westphalia are foreseen in the first half of 2007.
- Outcomes of the PromSTAP Network building activities will become visible on the PromSTAP website in the first months of 2007.
- We will create a search tool both for internal and external use to provide for access to “themes” and “expertise” (organisations and people). These information pages may include a page in the region’s own language.
- Options for improving an easy access to the PromSTAP website for the public for example by links in Wikipedia are under study.
- Furthermore we are studying the feasibility of an “ask your question” section on the site.
Anja Kleijn will facilitate regional meetings and the establishment of the online PromSTAP Network.
